I am a wall -this wall.
One side faces the light,
the other is in darkness.
Bemused,
I stand between two worlds.
The mundane and the momentous;
the trivial and the crucial.
I have not made the leap
from one to the other.
My reality has changed
but not my mindset.
The dust of the desert
still holds me in thrall.
The soft UK spring has yet
to draw me in, and so I am
as this wall –

I like being in both places at once, though, quite often the words to express it, as it is to me, do not work in the perceptions of others. This made me want to have conversations with you about how you feel about this subject.
